2月5日、海兵隊キャンプ・ハンセンにおいて、第3海兵兵站群第9工兵支援大隊所属のローガン・ギルバート三等軍曹およびガブリエル・キャッスルマン伍長に対し、先月金武町内の飲食店で急病者の救護活動を行った功績をたたえ、金武町の仲間一町長および金武地区消防本部の山内明政消防長から感謝状が贈呈されました。また、第三海兵遠征軍司令官ロジャー・ターナー中将から、両名に海軍・海兵隊功績章が授与されました。
